WASH YOUR HANDS!

I bet there's an intern at stereogum who's only job is to watch new episodes of yo gabba gabba

SAMPLES

Both of these songs share the "woo!...yeah!" sample from the classic Lyn Collins' "Think About It" break. I'm more partial to the shazam track (I'm more partial to Shazam anything).

$ Shazam - Pool Party 2009 (Headman's Revolver Mix)
$ John Roman - Hold Up (Wait a Minute)

"Pool Party" is set for March release date. If you haven't heard the original check it out. Its very pretty.

$ Shazam - Pool Party

It's sad to see Shazam so low on the "king of remix" poll; just goes to show how underrated this producer is.

KINDA FUNNY BUT MOSTLY SAD IRONY

bad timing for this ad...

UNDER CONTROL

So by now you should be somewhat familiar with the sound I put out. Some large mixture of ghettotech, electro, bangers, melodic retro pop, rap and indie. Here are the latest sounds that I think are worth your ear's time: an insane new remix of Adam Freeland's Under Control and a fantastic rework of Hollywood Holt's Hollywood.

$ Adam Freeland - Under Control (Miles Dyson Remix)

$ Hollywood Holt - Hollywood (Fantastadon's Extended Remix)

SKY MIGHT FALL

This is why I check First Up. The song is just as good as you wanted it to be.

SCREENDEATH

I posted a remix of Digitalism's Want U reworked by "Thompson" a while back. Screendeath is his new persona under which he sent me some solid tracks.

$ Screendeath - Lick It
$ Screendeath - Chimiques
$ MSTRKRFT - Click Click (Screendeath Remix)

P.S. I did the above artwork :)

PREVIEW TRAXXX!

I FEEL DUMB

And you should too if you haven't heard of Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. But if you have, then I applaud you. Where was I when this band took off? I feel left out...nobody told me.

THEY WEREN'T ON ANYONES BEST OF OH ATE LIST!

Just feeling a lil insecure, because this band is so good and I should've known.

All that aside, I demand that you check out this cavalcade of poppy synth rock fun. I'd post every track if I could this whole album is solid.

$ Natalie Portman's Shaved Head - The Malibu Highlife

$ Natalie Portman's Shaved Head - Beard Lust

$ Natalie Portman's Shaved Head - Confections

I guess the best I can do now is await the glory of a sophomore album and shame anyone who treats their second studio conquest like it's their first.
