Lying comfortably in my bed is not enough compensation for knowing that some of my favorite artists are only a couple miles from my house.

The Hood Internet are playing a set at the coveted event, and to celebrate everyone's excitement over the Phoenix set, the crew put together an epic mash between Phoenix and Why. I snagged the clip form one of their tweets:

Franz Ferdinand - No Your Girls (Trentemøller Radio Edit)

"Blood" is a rework compilation of several of Franz Ferdinand's latest songs. The single that was sent out for promotion of the project is Trentemøller's dynamic radio edit of "No You Girls".

In this edit you will find all the right pieces flowing quickly together, having a short 4:30 to get you from clever bass riff, to intricate synth patterns to strategic scientific blips; all carrying, never competing with the vocals.

I've been feeling a bit Ghetto lately. I figured I'd share some of the beats that have found their way to my inbox with you:

Possibly my favorite Vampire Weekend track (and now it's even better). I have no idea who Hunk is but this jam gets me high every time I listen.

I have yet to fully give into the hype of Major Lazor (or the Hold the Line remixes). But this remix sets itself apart, bombing your ears with intense bass and then opening up to a little ambient joy.

Another Sleepyhead remix? Ya ya, well Action Jackson responds to the massive flood of Passion Pit mixes by minimizing the melody and slipping in some electro beats (old electro kind).
